Conclusion
The lab demonstrated the process of osmosis. A great example was when the egg was put in to the corn syrup and got lighter. The reason why it got lighter was because corn syrup had a lower concentration of water particles and therefore it attracted the insides of the egg, making some of the particles come out. When particles came out, the egg got lighter. Another example was when the egg was put in to the coloured water and got heavier. The reason why it turned heavier was because there was a higher concentration of water particles outside of the egg, and therefore some of the particles went in to the egg, making it heavier. That was the process of osmosis. My hypothesis was supported; it was true and it made my lab more interesting by encouraging me to keep on going so I could see if my hypothesis was correct of not.
My data was very well done, it was clear and organized. I also explained what an independent, dependent, and controlled variable is. An independent variable is one that doesn’t depend on anything and will never be effected. A dependent variable is one that do depend on something and will change because of other variables. A controlled variable is one that will never change.
My lab was very successful, I liked it a lot and I wish to do more fun things like this soon!
