Procedure:

- Place 2 eggs into a 250 mL beaker. Pour 100 mL of vinegar in the beaker and refrigerate for 24 hours.
- After 24 hours, take out the eggs carefully and observe their appearances as recording it in Data Table 1.
- Measure the mass of each egg and record the mass in grams in Data Table 2.
- Pour 150 mL of colored/clear water and corn syrup in to it’s own beaker. Label each beaker and record the volume for each substance in Data Table 3.
- Place one of the eggs in the beaker with colored/clear water, and put the other egg in the beaker with corn syrup.
- Refrigerate for 24 hours.
- After 24 hours, take out the eggs from each beaker.
- Observe the appearance of the eggs and record it in Data Table 1.
- Measure the mass in grams of each egg and record it in Data Table 2.
- Measure the volume of liquid left in the beakers and record it in Data Table 3.
- With paper towel in handy, use a toothpick to carefully pop the eggs membrane and record it’s appearance in Data Table 1.
- Finish the sheet and the lab report is done!
